WHAT DO WE PRINT?

Here at Custom Prints, we offer two main printing methods.

  • Screen printing delivers long-lasting, bold color for team orders, uniforms, and large runs — it’s the most cost-effective method as quantities grow.
  • DTF (Direct-to-Film) gives photo-quality detail, unlimited colors, and low minimums, making it ideal for small runs, gradients, and polyester performance fabrics.

Why Choose Screen Printing?

Once screens are set up, screen printing produces vibrant, long-lasting prints at a lower cost per piece on larger runs. Choose plastisol for bold coverage or water-based inks for a softer, integrated hand on cotton.

The Screen Printing Process

  • Step1

    Design Setup

Your artwork is prepared and separated into individual colors, each one placed onto its own screen.

  • Step2

    Screen & Ink Application

The screens are aligned, and vibrant ink is pressed through them, one color at a time, onto the garment.

  • Step3

    Curing the Print

Each item is heat-cured so the ink bonds permanently, creating a durable and long-lasting finish.

  • Step4

    Final Quality Check

Every piece is inspected to ensure the colors are bold, the lines are crisp, and the print is built to last.

The Benefits

  • Long-lasting results

  • Crease Proof

  • Lower cost at higher volumes

  • Vibrant, opaque colors

  • Special finishes available

The Drawbacks

  • Higher price for smaller runs

  • Not ideal for full-photo prints

  • Heavier "hand" with some inks

  • Longer lead time for single jobs

Why Choose DTF (Direct To Film)?

Choose DTF when you need vibrant, photographic detail or only a few pieces. DTF prints directly to film and transfers that detail onto the garment with minimal setup, so you get accurate colors, gradients, and fine text without the cost or time of screen setup. It’s a fast, flexible choice especially good for polyester and mixed fabrics.

The DTF Process

  • Step1

    Design Printing

Your artwork is printed onto a special film using high-quality inks.

  • Step2

    Adhesive Application

A fine powder adhesive is applied to the design to prepare it for transfer.

  • Step3

    Heat Transfer

The design is pressed onto the garment with heat, bonding it to the fabric.

  • Step4

    Final Check

Each piece is inspected to ensure the colors are sharp, the design is smooth, and the print is ready to wear.

The Benefits

  • Photo-quality detail

  • Low minimums without huge price spikes

  • Consistent color & full-color capability

  • Works on polyester and performance blends

  • Fast turnaround for small runs

The Drawbacks

  • Slight transfer feel on certain fabrics

  • Less abrasion resistance

  • Higher per-piece cost on large runs

  • May require extra care
